FLORENCE – Shirley Sansbury Page, 83, died Wednesday, October 24, 2018, in a Charleston hospital after an illness.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
She was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Herman Bland and Virginia Morris Sansbury. She graduated from McClenaghan High School and Saunders Memorial School of Nursing. She worked briefly in nursing, then retired as a texagraph engineer in the textile industry.
Mrs. Page was a dedicated member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She also volunteered at Carolinas Hospital System from its inception.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fuller Collins Page; and a sister, Naomi Sansbury McKnight.
Survivors include her daughter, Dale (Dennis) Jeffords of Florence; a grandson, Rhett (Rachele) Box, and his children, Dylan and Caitlin, all of Mt. Pleasant; a step-grandson, Michael (Traci) Jeffords, and his children, Layke and Landry, all of Sardis, SC; a brother, Jerry Sansbury, of Florence; and a brother-in-law, Richard McKnight, also of Florence.
