Alice Timmons Bell

FLORENCE Alice Timmons Bell, 96, widow of W. A. Bell, died Thursday, August 14, 2014, in a local health care facility after an illness.

She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Claude Leroy and Dora Burch Timmons. She graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, NC, and was a secretary with Florence District 1 Schools. She was a member of St. Johns Church and served on the Altar Guild for many years.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Survivors include her son, William Timmons Bill (Eve) Bell of Florence; two grandchildren, Josh Bell of Mt. Pleasant and Alicia Bell Dahl of Florence; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Perry and Keeley Dahl.
