Alice Lee Barringer Bryan

FLORENCE, SC Alice Lee Barringer Bryan, 90, died peacefully at home early Sunday, December 8, 2013.

She was born in Wake Forest, NC, on August 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Raymond Lee and Mary Alice Harris. She graduated from Wake Forest College in Wake Forest, NC.

She was married to the late Thomas R. Barringer, Jr., of Florence, with whom she had three children: Tom and Mary Brooks, both of Florence, and Ray, now deceased. She later married the late William Bryan of Florence. She is survived by a brother, Ray Harris, of Darlington, SC, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Jane McDonald, of Wake Forest.

Mrs. Bryan enjoyed acting at the Florence Little Theatre and teaching, but was primarily a homemaker and mother.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, December 12, 2013, in Forestville Baptist Church Cemetery, in Wake Forest, North Carolina, directed by Bright Funeral Home.
