Annette Young Collins

FLORENCE - Annette Young Collins, 77, died Friday, August 16, 2013, in McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 19, 2013, in the Chapel at the Bethea Baptist Retirement Community in Darlington, SC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Monday, at the Bethea Baptist Community Chapel. A private interment will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, in Florence National Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home of Florence (www.waterspowellfh.com).

Mrs. Collins was born in Bambridge, Georgia, a daughter of the late Simmie I. and India H. Young. She has resided in Florence since 1970, and was a member of Bethea Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker, loving mother, best friend, loving wife and loving M.

She is survived by her husband, C. Olin Collins, Sr., of Darlington; three daughters, Annette Net and Randy Tate of Florence, Simmie and David Benenhaley of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Deirdre Dee Knight, also of Mt. Pleasant; and one son, C. Olin Bubba and Darlene Collins, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach; 11 grandchildren, Erica Tate and Justin Tate of Florence, Dr. Nicholas Buddy (Kathy) Tate of Simpsonville, SC, C. Olin Tripp Collins III of Miami, FL, Travis Collins, Taylor Collins, and Tanner Collins all of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Ivey (Sonita) Mom of Hannahan, SC, Jacklyn Benenhaley, Zackery and Matthew Knight, all of Mt. Pleasant; 4 great-grandchildren, Raven and Ryley Tate, Jovie and Levan Mom.

She was predeceased by a sister, Rita Y. Coward.
