ATLANTA - Barbara Cameron Cooper, 74, of Dunwoody, formerly of Florence, South Carolina, died January 23, 2016. Barbara was a 1960 graduate from McClenaghan High School, Florence, South Carolina and later graduated from Winthrop University. She went on to pursue a career in education with the Dekalb County School System, where she retired as an administrator.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Cooper, III, she is survived by her son, Cameron Cooper; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley E. Cooper and Michael Dockus; grandchildren, Jack and Royce Dockus; mother, Ruby Cameron and sisters, Betty McLeod and Linda Poland.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home of Florence.
