Billie Langford Spencer

ROCK HILL - Billie Langford Spencer, wife of the late Leslie A. Spencer, passed away
Saturday evening, September 14, 2013, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, South Carolina, after a brief illness. She is survived by her son, Leslie A. Spencer, Jr. and his wife Susan, of Atlanta, Georgia and her daughter, Pene Turner and
her husband Terry, of Liberty Hill, South Carolina. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Sara Spencer Wallace, Anne Spencer Handzel, Brantley Turner, and Pierce Turner, and four great grandchildren.

Born June 4, 1923, in Fitzgerald, Georgia, she was a teacher for over forty years and retired in the Florence Public School system. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, and was active in the Christian Family Sunday School class.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Florence with services following at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
