Carol Wise Bridgers

FLORENCE Carol Wise Bridgers, 77, died December 18, 2015, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Born in Latta, SC, she was a daughter of the late Stonewall David and Lucille Weatherford Wise. She worked as a secretary in the insurance industry for many years, and also volunteered at McLeod Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Bridgers was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Florence.

Mrs. Bridgers was predeceased by her husband, Robert Melvin Bridgers, and a sister, Jean Wise Britt.

Survivors include two sons, Robert M. Bridgers, Jr. (Stephanie), of Florence, and David Keith Bridgers (Elliott) of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Pat Wise Carter (Rayford) of Ridgeway, SC, and Molly Wise Tanner (Johnny) of Myrtle Beach, SC; and three grandchildren, Robert Bryce Bridgers of Charlotte, NC, Haley Elise Bridgers of Ft. Mill, SC, and Hayes Irving Bridgers of Florence.
