Corrine Tingen Anderson, 74, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Corrine was born in Goldsboro, North Carolina, a daughter of the late William Royce and Myrtie Lee Tingen. She spent most of her life in Florence, where she worked in customer service.
Corrine was full of life and completely unforgettable, but could be stubborn. She loved with her whole heart and lit up the room with her smile. In good times and bad, she could make people laugh. Her family was the most important thing to her and she will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Tracy Leigh Clark Person; her son, Michael Anderson; a sister, Faye Colvin; a brother, William Roger Tingen; a niece, Amy Nichole “Nikki” Davis; and a nephew, Timothy Colvin.
She is survived by a sister, Gray Davis; a brother, Ron (Debbie) Tingen; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Dakoda (Cassie) Godbold, R.J. Anderson, Jacy Clark, Madison (Joseph) Clark, Jonathan (Amber) Bridges, Vanessa Anderson, and Parker Chapman; and three great-grandchildren: Madelynn, Adalynn, and Emberleigh.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2026, in the chapel of Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service.
