Daisy Beatrice Haselden

FLORENCE Daisy Beatrice Hayes Haselden, 86, died Thursday, December 18, 2014, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2014, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

She was born in Pamplico, SC, a daughter of the late Andrew and Belle Taylor Hayes. She was employed at Kress in Florence for 48 years, and then worked at Maryland Fried Chicken for 18 years.

A loving mother, grandmother, and friend, she is survived by a daughter, Phyllis B. (Phillip) Gray of Lexington, SC; a son, Haskel Wayne (Roshell) Brown of Isle of Palms, SC; a sister, Faye Creel, of Lake City, SC; four grandchildren, Kimberly Coleman, Corey Coleman, Lyndsey Burns, and Rhonda Kelsyn; and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pee Dee Gardens, 3117 W. Palmetto St., Florence, SC 29501; or the Florence Area Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Pee Dee Gardens, Ahava Hospice, and her hospice nurse, Carolyn Evans, for their exceptional care of Ms. Haselden.
