Daniel Julian Inabinet

Reverend Daniel Julian Inabinet of Marion, SC, passed away at his home on October 11, 2018, at the age of 57.

Daniel was born in Anderson, SC, on November 12, 1960, and raised in Summerville, SC. He graduated from Summerville High School.

Daniel attended Clemson University and received his undergraduate degree from Charleston Southern University in 1984. He then received his Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1987 followed by doctoral work at Erskine College and a Clinical Pastoral Education as Chaplain from Baylor University Medical Center.

Throughout his career, Daniel served as the pastor of Marion Baptist Church, First Baptist Florence, and was most recently serving at Nichols Baptist Church since 2016. He was a deputy sheriff with the Florence County Sheriff’s Department and had recently been appointed Senior Chaplain. Daniel also served as Hospice Chaplain for McLeod Hospice.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Fonda Rae Meherg Inabinet, and two daughters, Rae Danielle Inabinet and Julian Grace Inabinet; his parents, Wilson V. Inabinet and Jean Bowling Inabinet, and his sisters, Dana Inabinet Caldwell and Ashley Julian Camhi. He is the grandson of Thelma Curtis Bowling and the late G. W. Bowling.

Daniel was called at the age of 20 to live his life in service to The Lord. He was a light to every life he touched and he sought to bring God joy every day he lived on this earth. He was humbled to be touched by his Lord’s amazing grace. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 2018, in the sanctuary of Marion Baptist Church, Marion, SC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Nichols Baptist Church, P. O. Box 148, Nichols, SC 29681.
