Dorothy Hight Wright

ORLANDO, FL Dorothy Hight Wright, 87, died Saturday, August 3, 2013, at her residence in Orlando, FL, after an illness.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence, SC, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Robert L. and Georgia May Cartledge Hight. She and her husband, Carl J. Wright, Jr., who predeceased her in 1997, were members of First Baptist Church in Florence until they moved to Orlando, FL, in 1960. She was a member of Delaney Street Baptist Church in Orlando.

She was also predeceased by an infant daughter, Virginia Carline Wright, and a brother, Robert L. Hight, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Cathy L. (Thomas) Bertotti of Winter Garden, FL, and Marsha L. (Robert) Stautz of Bloomington, Ind.; a son, Carl David (Lori) Wright of Boca Raton, FL; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Michael, Jared, Carley, Dawn, Katie, Andrew, and K.C.; and three great-grandchildren, Ian, Quinn, and Caleb.
