TIMMONSVILLE Edward Anderson Hancock, 67, died Friday, February 28, 2014, in a local hospital after an illness.
A Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 3, 2014, in Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home in Florence.
He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Rupert L. and Macy J. Anderson Hancock. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Viet Nam War. Ed was the owner and operator of Imported Parts Distributors, Inc., in Florence for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Wright Hancock of Timmonsville; a son, Justin (Betsy) Hancock of Lexington, SC; and a granddaughter, Adriana Hancock, also of Lexington. He was predeceased by a brother, Marion D. Hancock.
