Elizabeth Carnell Hatchell

FLORENCE Elizabeth Carnell Hatchell, 94, died Monday morning, December 29, 2014, in a local hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Garden of Memories. The family will receive from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

She was born in Florence County, SC, a daughter of the late Bennie and Ethel Broach Carnell. She was the widow of Willard Wilson Hatchell. A graduate of Tans Bay High School, Mrs. Hatchell was a florist with Cindys Florist for many years. She was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church in Effingham.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie (Larry) Quick, and two sons, Odette (Mary) Hatchell and Bennie Hatchell, all of Florence; a sister, Jackie (Lewis) Springs of W. Columbia; a brother, Charles (Bobbie) Carnell of Florence; four grandchildren, Shannon (Charles) Miller of Columbia, Kevin (Amy) Hatchell, Lisa (Trey) Woodberry, and Ashley Quick, all of Florence; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church, 7005 Friendfield Road, Effingham, SC 29541.
