FLORENCE – Elizabeth Dolores McKay Farmer, 84, died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, after an illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2024, at Pisgah Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service in the church Family Life Center. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
She was born in Florence County, SC, the daughter of Robert William and Elizabeth Jeffords McKay. Mrs. Farmer earned her nursing degree from McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing and was a nurse for many years. Her last employment was with Florence Diagnostic Associates.
Mrs. Farmer was a lifelong member of Pisgah Methodist Church in Florence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Graham B. Farmer, in 2022.
Survivors include her son, James G. “Jimmy” Farmer of Darlington; her grandson, Graham Farmer, Jr. (Jasmin) of Lugoff, SC; three brothers-in-law, Quay Farmer (Janet) of Greer, SC, V. J. Farmer (Lorraine) of Gettysburg, PA, and Sidney Farmer of Florence; and a number of extended family members.
