Evelyn Caldwell Touchberry

FLORENCE Evelyn Caldwell Touchberry, 89, died Thursday, February 6, 2014, in a local hospital after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Darlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

She was born in Elkton, MD, a daughter of the late Victor and Evelyn Carter Caldwell. She was the widow of John E. Touchberry.

Mrs. Touchberry was employed by Smith Drug Company, and was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia A. (Hector) Lugo of Florence; a son, John Jackie E. (Linda) Touchberry of Hartsville; five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
