Francis "Frank" Marion Davis, III

          FLORENCE – Francis Marion "Frank" Davis, III, 76, died Friday, January 16, 2026, after a brief illness.

          He was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Francis Marion Davis, Jr., and Shirley Hollis Davis.  He was a field medical engineer with General Electric until his retirement.

          In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Francis Marion Davis, IV.

          Survivors include his wife, Carolyn P. Davis, of the home; his daughter, Sarah Davis (Steven Minkin) of Silver Spring, MD; and a granddaughter, Holly Minkin, also of Silver Spring, MD.

          A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel.
