Hallie Lynwood Lawhon

EFFINGHAM Hallie Lynwood Lyn Lawhon, 67, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at home after an illness.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2014, in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

He was born in Florence, a son of the late Robert Lamont and Elizabeth Fowler Lawhon. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Lamont Lawhon, Jr.

He was retired from South Carolina DHEC, where he was employed as an inspector. He was a member of Elim Baptist Church in Effingham.

Survivors include two brothers, Larry R. (Becky) Lawhon of Effingham, SC, and Richard (Peggy) Lawhon of Surfside Beach, SC; and nieces and nephews.
