Harvey Mason Grainger

FLORENCE Harvey Mason Grainger, 72, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home with burial following in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home, and other times at 1609 Lake Lane, Effingham, SC.

He was born in Horry County, SC, a son of the late Harvey Dozier and Violet Cribb Grainger. He served in the 101st Airborne Paratroopers of the U.S. Army, and was retired from International Paper after 35 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara E. Grainger of Effingham; three daughters, Audrey (Ray) Walters and Debbie Stalter, both of Georgetown, SC, and Roxanne Dickerson (fianc, Tommy Evans, Jr.) of Effingham; a son, Harvey Lee Grainger (fiance, Samantha Arnold) of Effingham; twelve grandchildren, Shane Walters, Nash Walters, Nikki Walters, Mason Stalter, April Stalter, Lee Grainger, Kaley Grainger, Michael Dickerson, Barbie Dickerson, Hart Dickerson, Hunter Dickerson, and Matthew Dickerson; five brothers and three sisters, all of Bucksport, SC.
