Ina Rabon Corley

FLORENCE - Ina Rabon Corley, 91, of Florence, SC, died on Monday, November 24, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House. Born January 5, 1923, to the late Joseph Isaiah and Ellen Floyd Rabon of Aynor, SC, she is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, H.W. Corley, Sr; five brothers; three sisters; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Casey Corley.

Ina graduated valedictorian of Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, SC, and went on to graduate Business College in Columbia, SC. She later became a wife, mother and homemaker and worked alongside her late husband for 35 years as secretary of the family-owned and operated Southeastern Prosthetic Dental Laboratory in Florence, SC. Ina was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church, where she served her Lord through her Sr. Adult Sunday School class, The Betty Mears Mission Group, The Triple L Club, and ministered to shut-in members. A devout Christian, whose hope was in Jesus Christ, Ina loved Gods Word and enjoyed reading Christian novels. Her family describes her as being a tender-hearted, kind and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her Savior, family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her three daughters, Sandra (Danny) Keefe, Barbara (Mike) Spears, Carol (David) Greene; two sons, Butch (Cathy) Corley, Sammy (Emily) Corley of Florence, SC, 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at noon at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
