Jason Woodrow Stroup

FLORENCE Jason Woodrow Jake Stroup, 42, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at his residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, May 20, 2016, at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the mausoleum chapel.

Jason was born in St. Louis, Missouri, a son of Woodrow Chapman and Carolyn Courtway Stroup. A former bullrider, he was affectionately known as Cowboy, and owned Cowboys Karaoke and DJ Service. He was a loving family man and passionate animal lover.

Surviving, in addition to his parents of Sullivan, Missouri, are his wife, Cindy Norris Stroup, of the home; a daughter, Jessica Faye Stroup and expected grandson, Benjamin Jason Stroup, of Florence; a son, Jason Lafoye Stroup, also of Florence; a sister, Lacey S. (Phillip) Garcia of Montrose, Colorado; and three brothers, Kevin (Sonya) Stroup of Richwoods, MO, Chris (Carrie) Stroup and Stacey Stroup, both of Sullivan, MO; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews.
