Jean Rose Ford, 62, died March 28, 2026, at her home after a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 9, 2026, in the Fellowship Hall at Palmetto Street Church of God. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service.
Jean was born in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Joseph Ronald Ford, Sr., and Betty Ivey Ford. She attended South Florence High School and graduated from West Florence High School. She was a member of the marching band at both schools. She was an LPN and worked as a nursing assistant.
Jean loved horseback riding, camping, and all animals. She enjoyed relaxing by the pool with her sister. She also loved reading and studying her Bible.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Michael David Ford, Sr., and Joseph R. Ford, Jr.; and a nephew, Adam Robert Doub.
She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Holt (Brad); two grandchildren, Gavin Joseph Holt and Ella Grey Holt; two sisters, Annette “Al” Bartol and Mary Stokes (Anthony); and a brother, Karl Brian Ford (Brenda), all of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews.
