Julia Floyd Ritch

JACKSON, GA Julia Floyd Ritch, 73, died Thursday, November 21, 2013, at the home of her niece after an illness.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 25, 2013, in Bethany Cemetery, Olanta, SC, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

She was born in Lee County, SC, a daughter of the late General D. and Hazelee Oliver Floyd. She was the widow of James C. Ritch. Formerly of Florence, Julia had resided with her niece in Jackson, GA, for the past three years.

Julia was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Lawrence and Charles Floyd, and a sister, Doris Lee McLeod.

Survivors include two nieces, Mrs. Elaine (Randy) Couey of Jackson, GA, and Mrs. Lynn (Terry) McCathern of Sumter, SC, and their families.
