Lillian Sanders Marlowe

          TIMMONSVILLE – Lillian Sanders Marlowe, 88, died Saturday, June 15, 2024, after an illness.

          Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens.

         She was born in Timmonsville, SC, a daughter of the late Henry Edward and Rosalee Freeman Sanders.  Mrs. Marlowe was employed as a seamstress at Marlowe Manufacturing Company.

         She was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Marlowe; and a son, David Allen Marlowe.

         Surviving are two daughters, Jenny Marlowe of Timmonsville and Linda Allen of Effingham; three sons, Howard Lewis Marlowe of Timmonsville, Robert Jay Marlowe (Raye) of Gresham, SC, and Donald Ray Marlowe (Sherri) of Florence; three sisters, Ruby Wilkes (Jack) of Effingham, Betty Drye of Salisbury, NC, and Angie Evans (Randy), also of Effingham; two brothers, Monroe Sanders (Brenda) of Lynchburg, SC, and Floyd Sanders (Teresa) of Timmonsville; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
