FLORENCE Linda Cole Mitchell, 63, of Quinby, died Saturday, August 15, 2015, at McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Linda was born in Kingstree, SC, a daughter of Jo Ann Phillips Smith and the late David James Cole. She was a cosmetologist for a number of years. She was a member of Great Commissions Ministry in Darlington.
Surviving, in addition to her mother and step-father, Jo Ann and Beverly Smith, of Lake City, SC, are her husband, C. Edward Mitchell, Jr., of Quinby; a son, Billy Frank Seeger; three sisters, Joan Cole Campbell and Gwen Parker, both of Lake City, and Judy Cole (Freddie) Brown of Myrtle Beach; a brother, David (Christina) Cole of Carolina Beach, NC; a sister-in-law, Miriam Anne (Dannie) Caulder of Quinby; two grandsons, Gavin and Ayden Seeger of California; and a nephew, Mitchell Powell, of Quinby.
She was predeceased by her father and a sister, Mary Cole Satterfield.
