FLORENCE – Lisa Marie Galloway, 44, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna Miller Galloway Gibbons and Michael Ray Galloway; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Susie Galloway; and her maternal grandfather, John D. Miller.
Lisa is survived by her daughter, Emma Marie Poston, and Emma’s father, Jeremy Poston; her maternal grandmother “Nanny”, Dora Lee Miller, who always called Lisa her “precious darling lambchop”; special cousins, Jonathan and Trey Springs, Michelle Hill, and Sharolyn Floyd; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Also surviving Lisa is her stepfather, Stephen L. Gibbons, and stepbrother, Stephen L. Gibbons, Jr. (Leah); and many life-long friends, too numerous to name.
Lisa was born in Florence, graduated from Wilson High School with honors, and earned her BSN/RN degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2002. She fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a NICU nurse, when she was employed by McLeod Regional Medical Center in the NICU. She was currently employed by special friends, Ann and Don Case.
Lisa was a voracious reader, enjoying books and studying the Bible and devotionals. She loved traveling and cruising, but her happiest moments were spent with the love of her life, her daughter Emma.
