Lois Lawrence Hewitt

          Lois Lawrence Hewitt, 92, of Manning, SC, died Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness.

          A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Hewitt Cemetery, Florence, SC, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

          Mrs. Hewitt was born in Coward, SC, a daughter of the late Thaddeus Fred and Gladys Carmon Coward.  She was employed in quality control with Baxter Corporation in Kingstree, SC.

          In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Thurman A. Hewitt; a son, Timothy Windham; and four siblings, Thaddeus Fred Coward, Jr., Miriam C. Yarborough, Jessie Ray Coward, and William Hartwell Coward.

          Survivors include a sister, Travis C. Walker of Charlotte, NC; a grandson, Jeremy Windham (Gwen) of Timmonsville; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Windham and Brice Windham; great-great-grandson, Layne Brewer; several nieces and nephews; and caregiver and friend, Nathaniel McDuffie, of Manning, SC.
