Lucile Bourne Davidson

FLORENCE Lucile Bourne Davidson, 85, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013, in a local health care facility after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 20, 2013, in Elim Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

She was born in Marion County, SC, a daughter of the late John Otis and Duffy Hucks Bourne. She graduated from Brittons Neck High School and the Carolina College of Commerce. She retired from South Florence High School Guidance Department in 1995 after working many years in the school district.

She was a member of Elim Baptist Church and the Florence Lide Circle.

Survivors include her husband, Lanier S. Davidson, of Effingham; a daughter, Ann Davidson (Rick) Hubbard of Lexington; two sons, Steve (Rhonda) Davidson of Florence and John (Laurie) Davidson of Columbia; a brother, Woodrow Bourne of Brittons Neck, SC; and three grandsons, Justin Davidson, Will Davidson, and Matthew Davidson, all of Columbia.
