Lynwood Eddie Eaddy, 75, met Jesus Friday morning, January 2, 2026, after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2026, at Greenwood Baptist Church with visitation from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., prior to the service. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
He was born in Florence County, a son of Peggy Keefe Eaddy and the late Eddie Lee Eaddy. He was a civil engineer with the Department of Transportation for 30 years.
Mr. Eaddy was a long-time member of Greenwood Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir and served as a deacon. He was also a member of the Gospel Messengers Quartet.
Mr. Eaddy was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved the Lord, good gospel music, a nice clean car and a manicured lawn.
In addition to his mother of Hannah, SC, he is survived by his wife, Sandy Cribb Eaddy, of the home; two daughters, Amy Eaddy Thompson (Jason) and Shelly Eaddy Flud (John), both of Florence; two sisters, Kaye Stone-Hanna (W.T.) and Cynthia Miles, both of Pamplico; four grandchildren, Jennings Thompson, Avery Thompson, Madelynn Rose Flud and Caroline Flud, all of Florence; and a number of nieces and nephews.
