FLORENCE Margaret White Joyner, widow of A. V. Joyner, died Saturday, December 5, 2015, in a Mount Pleasant, SC, hospital.
Mrs. Joyner was born in Lee County, SC, a daughter of the late Asbury Britton White and Amanda Elizabeth Peebles White. She graduated as valedictorian from Central High School in Lee County, and also graduated from Florence Business College. She was an accountant for Cox Fitz Motors, Inc. and Cox Used Parts for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Joyner was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence, the 50-Year Club and Good News Sunday School Class.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Hank Johnson of Mount Pleasant, SC; two granddaughters, Amanda Johnson and Jennifer Johnson, and one grandson, Jim Johnson, all of Mount Pleasant; and one sister, Julia Paciulan, of Sumter, SC.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in Mount Hope Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
