Marian Bradshaw Avent

          On April 25, 2024, Marian Jean Bradshaw Avent, 81, passed away in Florence, SC. She is predeceased by her husband, Mr. Fred C. Avent; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bradshaw of Bennettsville, SC; and her brother, Mr. Jackie Bradshaw.

          She is survived by her brother, Mr. Danny Bradshaw (Kathy Ingram Bradshaw); sister-in-law, Mary Hendrix Bradshaw, and children, Mr. & Dr. Fred C. Avent, Jr. (Michelle Stamp Avent), Ms. Tiffany Avent Clark, and Mr. & Mrs. Frank Bradshaw Avent (Siobhan McCutcheon Avent). She leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews she adored.

          Marian played tennis and bridge, was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Country Club of South Carolina, and enjoyed spending her spare time reading with a Diet Pepsi in hand and visiting Ocean Isle Beach.

          A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
