EFFINGHAM – Maude Ward “Dicey” Prosser, 92, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in a local hospital after an illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 5, 2014, in Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church with burial following in Lebanon Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the church.
She was born in Effingham, SC, a daughter of the late Otis Cleveland and Debbie Turner Ward. She graduated from J. C. Lynch High School and was a clerk with Rose’s stores. Mrs. Prosser was a life member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Colon Richard Prosser; and a son, Tommy Prosser.
Survivors include a son, Otis Franklin “Toby” Clark of N. Augusta, SC; five grandchildren, James Paul Clark of Burlington, NC, Raymond Hamburg of Florence, SC, Crystal Hamburg of Fresno, CA, Rhonda Stewardson of Bealeton, VA, and Russell Hamburg of Manassas, VA; sister, Topsy W. Parker of Effingham; daughter-in-law, Scherrie A. Clark of Florence; eight great-grandchildren, including Gary Paul Clark of Grants Pass, Oregon; and three great-great-grandchildren.
