Mildred Bryant Snellgrose

FLORENCE Mildred Bryant Snellgrose, 85, died Friday, October 24, 2014, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 26, 2014, at First United Pentecostal Church in Conway, SC, with burial following in Hillcrest Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home of Florence. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home, and from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, at the church.

Mrs. Snellgrose was born in Tresvent, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Murry Thomas and Mattie Maurine Lane Bryant. She was predeceased by her husband, Glenn McKinley Snellgrose, I.

She raised her family in Michigan and resided in South Carolina for the past few years. She received the Holy Spirit on Mothers Day, 1949, and remained faithful to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, until He received her into His loving arms. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Florence.

Survivors include four daughters, Linda Kay Freeze (David Ivan) of Niles, Mich., Lou Ann Kincaid (Brian S.) of Athens, Tenn., Janie M. Stape (John S.) and Kathie Richeena Cooper (William F.), both of Florence; a son, Glenn Thomas Snellgrose (Lourdes) of Athens, Tenn.; sisters, Emily Foster of Watervliet, Mich., and Lula Belle Foster (deceased) and husband, Bobby Foster, of Dowagiac, Mich.; grandchildren, Kimberly Pancoast, David Freeze II, Kelly Griffin, Jerel, Jeffrey, and Joey Williamson, Jennifer Buen, Aimee Stape, Shauna Hardee, Kayla Davis, William Cooper III, Brian Kincaid II, Christy Farmer, Eric Kincaid, Glenn Snellgrose II, Santiago Snellgrose (deceased), and Megan Snellgrose; 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
