Noble Allen Woodson, 82, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, after a brief illness.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2026, at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
Mr. Woodson was born in Richmond, Virginia, a son of the late Noble Cornelius and Annie Winston Bowles Woodson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966 and served in the Air Force Reserves from 1966 to 1968. He spent his career in sales of tractor trailer parts.
Mr. Woodson loved to make people laugh and would do anything to help people. He also loved piddling in his workshop.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Suggs Woodson, and second wife, Patsy M. P. Woodson; two brothers, Bradley Woodson and Winston Woodson; two sisters, Frances Woodson and Kathleen Woolard; and a nephew, Thomas Virgil Woolard.
He is survived by his daughter, Pattie Lynne Woodson, of Florence; nieces, Betty Ann Woolard Wallace of Morehead City, NC (her son James Wallace and wife, Niki, and their children, Alex and Jay, of Fuqua-Varina, NC; and her daughter Mary Kathleen Wallace Smith and her husband, Nick, and their daughter, Mila, of Indian Land, SC), Young Woolard of Greenville, NC (son Chris Woolard and his wife, Allie Doerfler, of Germany), and other nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
The family expresses many thanks and much gratitude to his caregiver, Nancy Pate, for her care and friendship.
