Ola Clarke Obituary

         Ola Bullard Clarke, age 91, died Wednesday, February 25, 2026, after a brief illness.

         Ms. Clarke was born in Atlanta, GA, a daughter of the late K.M. Bullard and Ola Blanche Bullard.  She graduated from Georgia State College and spent most of her life in Atlanta.  She was a dancer in the Atlanta Ballet for many years, where she had the opportunity to travel extensively.  After starting a family, she was a paralegal with a law firm in Atlanta until her retirement. She was a resident of Florence for the past twelve years.

         She was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Elizabeth Clarke; a son, Richard Madison Clarke, Sr.; two brothers, K.M. Bullard, Jr., and John Bullard; a sister, Gerry Griffin; and a great-grandchild.

         Surviving are her sons, Robert Vaughan Clarke, III (Vicki) of Georgetown, SC, and Stephen Andrew Clarke, Sr. (Gayle) of Florence; a sister, Gwendolyn Kirk Bullard of Calhoun, GA; five grandchildren, Stephen Andrew “Andy” Clarke, Jr. (Jessica) of Darlington, SC, Aaron Vaughan Clarke (Sarah) of Florence, Allison Clarke Young of Darlington, Richard Madison Clarke of Denver, CO, and April Clarke Parris of Lawrenceville, GA; and 11 great-grandchildren.

         The family will honor her memory at a visitation at the home of Stephen and Gayle Clarke, 1845 Joseph Circle, Florence, SC, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2026.

         In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC  29502.
