Paula Green Schofield, 78, died Sunday, December 28, 2025, in Florence, SC, after an extended illness.
She was born in Lynchburg, SC, a daughter of the late Ellie Woodrow and Jessie Eugenia Campbell Green. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Church in Florence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Marshall Schofield.
She is survived by her daughter, Kistler Schofield Campbell, and her children, Marshall Schofield Campbell and Elizabeth Grace Campbell, of Florence; her son, Kenneth Yates (Christina), and their children, Wyatt Jackson Yates, Ivey Jaymes Yates, Bryan Glendon Yates, and Elliott Kenneth Yates, of Sardis, SC; five sisters, Margie G. Carey of Charlotte, NC, Jewell G. Gibbons (George “G.T.”) of Sumter, SC, Willodene G. Blackman (Bernard) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Annelle G. Powell-Cusaac (Don) of Turbeville, SC, and June G. Graham (Al) of Lynchburg, SC; a brother Ellie W. Green, Jr. (Diane) of Lynchburg, SC; sister-in-law, Martha Armstrong Schofield, of Florence; 18 nieces and nephews, including special niece, Elizabeth Schofield, and special nephew, William Schofield (Caroline) and their children.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home.
