Pink Michael Braxton

FLORENCE Pink Michael Mike Braxton, 72, died at his residence on Tuesday, April 12, 2016, after an illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 15, 2016, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with military honors will be in Allen Cemetery, Latta, SC, at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

He was born in Hampton, SC, a son of the late John Gilmore and Geneva Padgett Braxton. He served in the Army National Guard for 23 years and was a member of Eastside Free Will Baptist Church in Florence.

Mr. Braxton was employed in the plumbing supply industry.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Jane Allen Braxton, of the home; a sister, Johnette B. Whetstone of Denmark, SC; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Annie B. Harper; and two brothers, Carl and Herbert Braxton.
