Plez Benjamin "Bennie" Hatchell

FLORENCE - Plez Benjamin Bennie Hatchell, 68, died Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at his residence after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 14, 2015, in the Chapel of Waters-Powell Funeral Home with interment following in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 -2:00 p.m. at the funeral home before the service.

Mr. Hatchell was born in Florence, a son of the late Willard and Elizabeth Carnell Hatchell. He served his country in the US Army Reserves and was retired from AT&T/Bellsouth in the Administration Department.

He was predeceased by his wife, Vicki McClellan Hatchell.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shannon (Charles Bubba) Miller of Columbia; two grandchildren, Brianna Wall of Columbia and Blake Wall of Florence; a brother, Odette (Mary) Hatchell of Florence; and a sister, Mrs. Debbie (Larry) Quick of Florence.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank Mr. Hatchells dedicated caregivers, Liz Lockhart and Clementine Gee, for their faithful love and service.
