Richard Dale Coskrey

          FLORENCE – Richard Dale “Rickey” Coskrey, 78, died Tuesday morning, January 6, 2026, after a brief illness.

          A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Mount Hope Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, at Waters-Powell Funeral Home.

         He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Claude Melton and Hattie Ruth Gandy Coskrey.  Ricky graduated from McClenaghan High School in Florence and was employed with AT&T for 36 years prior to his retirement.

         He was an avid fisherman and dearly loved his family.

         Rickey was predeceased by his wife, Donna Wilson Coskrey; a brother, Melton Coskrey, Jr.; a sister, Carla Coskrey Pappas; and two nephews, Michael Coskrey, Jr., and Melton Coskrey, III.

         Survivors include his son, Blake Coskrey (Allyson), and three grandchildren, Hayden, Vera, and Ada, all of Rock Hill, SC; his twin brother, Michael Ray Coskrey, of Florence; and a niece, Michelle Coskrey Owens (Brad) and their children, also of Florence.

         Memorials may be made to the Florence Area Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC  29502.
