Samuel Turner Watson

FLORENCE Samuel Turner Watson, 90, died Wednesday, December 10, 2014.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

He was born in Bradenton, Florida, a son of the late Hoyt and Lucile Turner Watson.

Mr. Watson was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Florence, and was retired from CSX Railroad.

He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Lollis Watson, in 2012.

He is survived by a daughter, Francie W. (Bill) Biggs of Anderson, SC; three sons, Hoyt (Sherri) Watson, Sam T. (Cindy) Watson, Jr., and Preston (LeeAnn) Watson, all of Florence; four granddaughters, Brittany Biggs, April Jackson, Elizabeth Tyson, and Sara Watson; two grandsons, Charlie Streett and Preston Watson, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren.
