Stanley Neil Avent

S. Neil Avent of Heathsville, VA died January 18, 2016 surrounded by his loving daughters. He was born December 5, 1946 in Alpine, Texas to Wallace Avent Jr and Jane Bounds. He was predeceased by his mother, his sister Katie Avent Tharp and his devoted wife of 48 years, Lyle.


He is survived by his father, sisters, Connie Suber and Bobbie Jo Myers all of Jackson MS. As well, he is survived by his daughters, Laura Avent of Richmond, VA, and Alice McBratney, son in law Thomas, and grandsons Jackson and Banks of Florence SC. He is also greatly missed by a number of nieces, nephews, inlaws, and other friends and family throughout the Northern Neck and Richmond.
