Stephen Webb McCall, III, age 74, died Friday, October 31, 2025, after a long illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, at the funeral home.
Steve was born in Florence, a son of the late Stephen Webb McCall, Jr., and Myrtle Lois Gardner McCall. He graduated from Camden Military Academy and Florence-Darlington Technical College with a degree in computer programming. He was an independent computer programmer for over 30 years, most recently with Horry County.
Steve was a devoted Boy Scout leader and led Boy Scout Troop 402 for many years. He loved everything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Barfield McCall, of the home; two sons, Stephen Webb McCall, IV (Shelby) and Matthew Harold McCall (Karlin), both of Florence; a sister, Gail McMillan (Tommy) of Effingham; six grandchildren, Taylor Elizabeth McCall, Carter Webb McCall, Hannah Skylar Deaton, Layneigh Rae McCall, Grady Owen McCall, and Marley Dot McCall; a great-grandchild, Sullivan Deaton; and four nieces, Tammy McMillan Price (Brett), Mary Lancaster McMillan, Debbie Streett Martin (George), and Lisa Streett.
He was predeceased by a sister, Stephanie McCall Streett; and two nephews, Donnie Streett, Jr., and Maxie Keith McMillan, III.
