FLORENCE Uldine Jenkinson Holland King, 88, died February 1, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
She was born in Florence, a daughter of the late Dwight A. Jenkinson, Sr., and Mattie Richbourg Jenkinson. She was predeceased by her only sibling, Dwight A. Jenkinson, Jr.
Mrs. King was married to William L. Bill Holland for 31 years and lived in the Mars Bluff community until his death. Her second marriage was to James C. Jack King for 17 years and lived at Surfside Beach until his death.
She worked in the operating room at McLeod Infirmary before going to work at Sextons Dental Clinic for a number of years. While living at Surfside Beach, she worked part time at Sears.
She was a very active member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Florence until her health failed.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Holland Clum (Frank) of Florence; her son, William L. Bill Holland, Jr. (Sheron), of Scranton; grandchildren, David A. Clum (Myrna) of Pembroke Pines, FL, D. Lee Daugherty (Melissa) of Florence, F. Allan Clum (Caroline) of Charleston, Tara Holland Steele (Allen) of Florence, and William Player Holland of Greenville; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
