FLORENCE - Virginia Huggins Richbourg, 89, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at her residence in Garden City, SC, after an illness.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2014, in Waters-Powell Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was born in Dillon County, SC, a daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Humphrey Huggins. She graduated from the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing and was a registered nurse with McLeod Hospital until her retirement. Mrs. Richbourg was a member and long-time adult Sunday School teacher at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Florence.
She was predeceased by her husband, Dewey Merritt Richbourg; a brother, Ken Huggins; and a granddaughter, Katie Price.
Survivors include three daughters, Deidre (Craig) Richbourg-Price of Ocala, FL, Dawn (Rob) Riddle of Eagle, CO, and Merritt Denise Richbourg of Murrells Inlet, SC; three brothers, Alton Huggins of Summerville, SC, E. E. Mike Huggins of Titusville, FL, and Henry Huggins of Morehead City, NC; and four grandchildren, Jonathan (Canela) Riddle of San Francisco, CA, Jennifer Price of Atlanta, GA, Merritt (Thomas) Chandler and Jessica (Frederick) Ware, both of Nashville, TN.
