William Norman “Bill” Woodson, Jr., 85, died Thursday, December 4, 2025, after an illness.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Florence Bible Chapel, directed Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the church. A private burial will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery.
He was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late William Norman, Sr., and Nellie Agnes Bridgers Deaton. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Woodson was a Class 8 Control Mechanic and worked with DuPont in Florence for 40 years. He then worked as an inventory specialist at Ingram Lumber for 5 years until his retirement.
He was a member of Florence Bible Chapel.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Minnie Montrose Woodson; a daughter, Tammy Woodson Pattilo; and a great-grandson, Benjamin McLaughlin.
He is survived by his children, Cindy Tucker (Russell) of Anderson, SC, Suzette Belk (Kenny) of Simpsonville, SC, and Norman Woodson (Jessica) of Florence; seven grandchildren: Bambi Addison, Desiree McLaughlin, Rusty Tucker, Jessica Helms (Donald), Quincy Belk (Rachel), Joshua Belk (Kathleen) and Lydia Woodson; eleven great-grandchildren: Kalysta Addison, Skyler Tucker, Autumn Addison, Sierra McLaughlin, Tucker Addison, Nathaniel Belk, Everly Belk, Elias Belk, Ferris Belk, Hartley Helms and Devon Helms; two sisters, Norma Lee Jamrogowicz and Marie Hyman; and a brother, Michael Capers.
